Sarah was 34 when she came to see me. She had been experiencing neck and hip pain described as a tightness in both the front, back and sides of her neck; as well as tightness in the front of her hips and pain on the tops of her hamstrings. Sarah does not remember a time when she did not have a tight neck, even growing up. She has had the tightness issue in the front of her hips for a decade. She also reported being very other centred and that this has bothered her a lot throughout her life. She use to feel guilty if she did not accommodate someone else’s desires.
In recent years, Sarah has learned about creating boundaries and used other modalities such as Reiki, energy and shamanic healing, meditating and conventional psychotherapy which did not help her with fully healing her physical, emotional and mental issues. Despite all her efforts, Sarah still saw that she had a fear of hurting others and could not express herself in a coherent way so that people could really understand who she is.
After just one Dalian Method session the areas which had been tight for either decades or as far as she could remember were transformed. Sarah realized that she no longer needs to hold back how she feels. She saw that she can now be honest with herself and others and live her life fully and freely, no matter what the consequences may be.
Sarah promptly followed through on her action steps and continued to integrate the new shift in consciousness into her daily life.
After one week, Sarah reported that her hip pain was gone the next day and that it is now subdued. She was also presented with an invitation to a high profile event to celebrate the work she did on a film and was able to check in with herself to see how she honestly felt about going to the event. She noticed that she was able to fully and freely express how she honestly felt and kindly declined the invitation without fear of hurting the person inviting her. To her surprise, the person who invited her was inspired by her honesty, felt the same about his attendance to the event and kindly declined the invitation as well. Sarah also noted how a single Dalian Method session helped her open up her throat chakra; she is a singer-songwriter and received feedback from her voice teacher about the noticeable difference in her ability to sing at a much broader range.
Four weeks later, Sarah reported visiting her parents for the summer and her ability to honestly share with her mother how she feels without the fear of hurting her mother. Sarah shared that she saw how the situation came up and although her mother’s reaction to the situation did not change from the past, Sarah’s feeling in relation to it all had no charge to it and in this light she experienced how she could live freely, being honest, fully as herself, regardless of the consequences.
Weronika was 39 when she came to see me. She had just experienced a break up with her long time boyfriend and needed to get out of her head and stop overthinking about things. She wanted help with her self-esteem as she struggles with whether she is good enough and with other people’s opinions of her. She shared that she was a people pleaser growing up and is relearning to put her own needs first as an adult.
She has tried other modalities such as meditation every morning, one session of Reiki, sound baths and daily yoga which she found somewhat helpful, but none of them have assist her in healing these emotional and mental issues.
After just one Dalian Method session, Weronika reported feeling a significant release, especially in terms of overthinking and self-judgement. The session allowed her to step into a new sense of self-acceptance and clarity about her worth. The action steps helped her integrate the new awareness in her daily life.
She is now making herself a priority, honouring her emotions, being more compassionate with herself and has tracked the changes in her journal noticing the deep transformation from the old to new version of herself.
Now several months later, Weronika is reflecting on how the practices she previously tried like Reiki and sound baths felt more like they provided surface-level relief. She shares that in contrast, the Dalian Method goes much deeper, addressing underlying emotional and mental patterns in a more profound way. She shared that the effects of the Dalian Method feel more lasting, as it promotes a greater sense of internal clarity and transformation that she has not experienced with other modalities.
